“Stranded” Music Video Premiered on PROG Magazine Website

Dave Kerzner has premiered his video for Stranded with Prog.

The five-part version of the track appears on the Deluxe Edition of his album New World. The song is nominated in the Anthem category at this year’s Progressive Music Awards.

The video features Pink Floyd backing vocalist Durga McBroom-Hudson alongside Kerzner himself, and uses visual elements created by Christine Leakey.

Kerzner tells Prog: “New World is a cinematic type of concept album. I’ve planned a lot of visual elements to go along with the music, in the form of music videos and also for the upcoming live shows.

“I drew inspiration from movies like Star WarsDune and Capricorn One. It was a thrill for us to shoot this on location in a real desert!”

New World is on sale now in a range of formats. The Dave Kerzner Band, featuring McBroom-Hudson and sister Lorelei, perform on this year’s Cruise To The Edge on November 15-19, with tour dates to be announced soon.

Please vote for Dave Kerzner “Stranded”- Nominated for “Anthem of the Year” by Prog Magazine Awards

Thank you Prog Magazine for nominating my song “Stranded” from my debut solo album “New World” to be voted upon for “Anthem Of The Year” at the 2015 Progressive Music Awards! It truly is an honor to be recognized amongst my peers and musical heroes like Pink Floyd, Steve Hackett, Steven Wilson and so many others.

If you want to support me you can vote for “Dave Kerzner – Stranded” in the “Anthem Of The Year” category here: http://awards.prog.teamrock.com/vote/anthem

You can vote for artists in other categories here: http://www.progmagazine.com/awards

I don’t know how long the voting lasts for so if you’re going to do it then please do it soon! To everyone who has already voted for my song to win this honor, I can’t thank you enough. Awards aren’t the end all be all. But, it’s what it represents that matters. Even being nominated is rewarding. However, if I’m going to fly back to England to attend this award ceremony I want to at least give a little speech to show my gratitude. In other words, I prefer to win! Haha! So… what do you think? Reasonable pitch?

Dave Kerzner Releases “Deluxe Edition” 2 CD Expanded Version of “New World”

New World Deluxe Edition CD Cover RGBFebruary 9th, 2015, Miami, Florida –  Dave Kerzner, formerly of the band Sound of Contact, has just released an expanded 2 CD version of his acclaimed Progressive Rock debut solo album. “New World – Deluxe Edition” ships world-wide today in an elaborate double disc package with over 143 minutes of music from eSoundz.com in the US and BurningShed.com in the UK. A special “Mastered for iTunes” downloadable version is now available on iTunes and a high quality mp3 & FLAC version is available with pdf booklet on Kerzner’s “Sonic Elements” Bandcamp page.

The Deluxe Edition features 23 tracks total with 5 additional vocal songs, 7 cinematic instrumentals and extended versions of the songs from the standard single CD album, “New World”.

“All the new songs are placed in their correct order within a concept album.” Says Kerzner “This isn’t just the album plus a bonus disc of outtakes. These are songs that could have been on the main album but there simply wasn’t enough room on one CD. This version has longer intros, outros and segues which gives it a live concert and movie-like feel to the overall listening experience.”

Both “New World” and “New World – Deluxe Edition” feature special guests Steve Hackett (Genesis), Keith Emerson (ELP), Simon Phillips (The Who), Nick D’Virgilio (Tears for Fears), Francis Dunnery (It Bites), Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd), David Longdon (Big Big Train), Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree), Billy Sherwood (Yes), Heather Findlay (Mostly Autumn), Russ Parrish (Kevin Gilbert), Jason Scheff (Chicago) and more.

Dave Kerzner was recently voted in the top 10 for 3 categories in Prog Magazine’s Reader’s Poll for 2014 for “Album of the year”, ‘Keyboardist of the year” and “Tip for 2015”!
